Area 3
Around and north of Saint-Aulaye, near D17
Notes:
- There is a great parking spot to a great walk. It may be full when the water park is in operation, but until then, the road to the west is closed to traffic.
- The parking here is also good. The walk is frequently used by other dog owners, but having a lead in hand meant we never had a problem.
- We parked at Saskia’s place and walked down the hill along the tractor trail. It is difficult to not block the trail, so should be used outside farm working times.
- The park at the top of the hill gives access to both the forest to the south and the roads north and west.
- We parked at the end of the trail the one time we used this trail.
- This trail has some stagnant water that the dogs got into and they ended up smelling quite strong after the walk.
- Near the west end of the road, there was another road going south. But we missed the turn here to go back to the main trail and ended up going through town. Ouch! Not a pleasant walk.
- Near the north end of this road are several dogs. And the road from Bonnes to Les Essards has quite a few high-speed cars, so we used it only once.
